About the course
The course provides students with an intensive introduction to the area of parallel computing technologies, distributed, high performance and high throughput computing. Serious involvement in the subject requires a deep dive into the theory of distributed and concurrent computing. The course gives students the necessary basic information and guides participants to further reading and self-development. A practical part of the course allows students to get hands-on experience in actual technologies used in development of high performance applications ranging from mobile phone game engines to supercomputer simulation of fluid dynamics.
Course modules
  • Undergraduates and postgraduates students from any institutions worldwide
  • Parallel computing technologies for shared memory computers
  • Parallel programming technologies for distributed memory computers
  • Parallel programming technologies for special computing devices
    (like GPUs) and hybrid computers
  • High-level programming tools and actual scientific problems
    in parallel program development
final assessment
During the course students will have to complete practical tasks.
All participants will have an interwiev based on the theoretical part of the course.
